Mission Impossible 7's trailer has arrived (Watch!)
The thrill of the Mission: Impossible franchise is back, and judging by the trailers for Dead Reckoning Part One, these movies are raising expectations.
Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team are back, and this time they're on the trail of a new weapon capable of threatening all of humanity. From the dramatic monologue of our new villain (Esai Morales) in the trailer, it seems that this weapon knows the history of everyone on Earth, as well as their fate. Scary! (And in the age of AI, extremely relevant.)
And of course, it wouldn't be a Mission: Impossible movie without some ridiculous stunts. The trailer gives us a look at some of the intense car chases and fights, including a scene atop a moving train, but the highlight is Ethan riding his motorcycle. down the mountain. He collapses in seconds, and as the trailer cuts through, we still don't know how he'll make it through. I'm sure he would, but the sight of Ethan slamming into the ground was enough to make my heart skip a beat - and pique my interest in the movie.
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1 hits theaters on July 12.
