Guinness World Records Breaks Silence on Chef Dammy's 120-Hour Cooking Competition
The Guinness World Records has finally broken its silence regarding Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi's 120-hour cooking record.
The agency asserts that the chef did not seek permission before initiating the cook-a-thon because there were procedures and rules allegedly sent to him to follow.
Body says:
"We have not received a request for this endeavor. Requests may be made through the Guinness World Records website for review by our records management team.
“Once an application is accepted, the applicant will receive a set of detailed instructions specific to that type of application to be followed.
"This also details the list of evidence that must be submitted to our team for record verification. Guinness World Records maintains a rigorous review process to maintain the integrity of each Record title. Guinness World."
Remember, Chef Dammy started his cooking competition in Ekiti State with the intention of breaking Hilda Baci's 100-hour cooking record. Chef Dammy is said to have been pushed into the kitchen challenge by her pastor, who wants to make his chef and church public.
While Hilda Baci's profile was certified by GWR yesterday, on the other hand, Dammy received negative feedback as the agency denied knowing about her assignment.
