Money Heist season 5 theories: Leaked pics 'confirm' return of Tokyo's ex-boyfriend

Ahead of the fifth and final season of Netflix’s popular Spanish thriller, Money Heist has announced two new actors will be joining the established cast. Some behind-the-scenes snaps have recently caused a frenzy with fans attempting to guess what kind of characters the stars will be playing. A new theory has suggested Miguel Ángel Silvestre could be portraying one of Tokyo's old flames.

Although production saw some delays amid the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix thrilled fans by announcing a fifth and final season of Money Heist is on the way.

The wildly successful Spanish series was confirmed to have started filming earlier in August, with an expected release date of 2021.

In addition to one more season, Money Heist Part Five will also see Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado join the cast in undisclosed roles.

As a breakout star of the Wachowskis’ Sense8, Silvestre is expected to play a pivotal role, with some speculating he could portray a new rival to the Professor (Álvaro Morte).
